MTN Ghana Foundation has gotten more than 500 passages for the 6th release of MTN Heroes of Change, named "the Special 25th Anniversary Edition".
Sections were gotten from every one of the 16 areas of Ghana, showing the activities of people and foundations carried out during the pinnacle of COVID-19. The passages obtained were first reduced to 100, and then surveyed to 30 sections.A team was sent into the networks to verify the stories, and ten finalists were chosen.The tasks of the finalists have been reported and will be circulated as a 13-week TV series. Beginning from tomorrow, August 20, 2022, the tales will be broadcast each Saturday on TV3 at 5:20pm, UTV at 7:30pm, and each Sunday on GTV at 5pm.
After the network show, a last live event will be held to introduce grants to every one of the finalists. A sum of GHC200,000 has been dispensed to remunerate the last 10 heroes. Every one of the ten (10) finalists will get a monetary reward of GHS 20,000, an endorsement, and a reference.
The message of Change Season 6 was sent off to persuade people and establishments who have had tremendous effect in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. This acknowledgement will be done in the three central regions of the MTN Ghana Foundation, which are health, education, and economic empowerment.
The acting Chief Corporate Services Officer of MTN Ghana, Nana Kofi Asare, said, "MTN Ghana Foundation sent off this release of Heroes of Change to show extraordinary appreciation to people who contacted us to moderate the effect of COVID-19 in our nation when it made the biggest difference."
Surely, through the auditing system, we have seen endearing accounts of individuals who gambled all they needed to accommodate others locally. This is the very thing that the Heroes of Change looks to accomplish—to uncover the accounts of people who are giving answers to regular issues in our networks," he added.
MTN Heroes of Change were sent off in July 2013, fully intent on distinguishing and perceiving sacrificial individuals who keep on forfeiting their time and assets to work on their networks and light up lives. Since its commencement, 50 legends have been perceived and granted for their commitments to society, with 5 arising as the general Heroes of Change victors.
Because of its effect, MTN Heroes of Change has won a few honors, which include 2016 IPR Best Community Relations Program of the Year and CSR Program of the Year 2015 by the Head of State Awards (HoSA) Scheme.
